Who is Maria Francisca Perelló? What you need to know about the wife of world tennis champion Rafael Nadal…
Since the early nougthies, when footballers wives reigned supreme and Victoria Beckham was crowned Head WAG, the internet has held a special fascination for the love interests of professional athletes – who were often supermodels or pop stars.
Two decades later and the interest has shifted from glamorous, spotlight-ready belle to the supportive partner, the relatively “normal” women and men who can be spotted cheering on the loves of their lives whilst they play their hearts out on the pitch – or court.
Rafael Nadal’s Wife, Maria Francisca Perelló, has recently been in the spotlight, garnering attention from the press.
After Rafael lost 4:6, 4:6, 5:7 against American Mackenzie McDonald at the Australian Open, pictures of his teary-eyed wife Maria have been circulating in the press. Known to be one of his biggest supporters it comes as no shock that the thirty-four-year-old is highly emotional after witnessing the tennis champion losing most likely due to an old injury.
While there is plenty of information on the internet about the tennis star, little is known about Maria – other than she is a doting wife and, clearly, one of Rafael’s biggest supporters.
Here, Bazaar Arabia shares everything we know about Maria Francisca Perelló.
